I'm so glad you're here. My name is Sheralyn Schmidt
and Arise Therapy & Wellness is my practice.
I consider encouraging connection to be my life's work
as a therapist and as a human. I have seen and
experienced the healing power of re-connection with
oneself and in relationships, and its impact on individual
health, the wellness of families, and in turn the
broader communities in which we live.
I view the therapy room as a sacred space to process disconnection experienced through stress, trauma, and ruptures in relationship; and also a space to practice reconnection - emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.
Keep reading to learn the values that guide me,
and the theories I integrate to help my clients;
I see individuals or relationships, in person or online.
I have a clinical Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy.

As surely as the sun rises and sets, so do we have the opportunity to begin again. To embrace our potential, grasping onto hope and growing into a fullness of life - one day at a time, one choice at a time.
It's no secret, I love to take in sunrises and sunsets. My children know this and now notice their beauty too. They serve as a steady reminder of processes that are continually underway in the world around us - and I believe also within us and between us.
When I feel stuck, as you might sometimes too, I need these steady reminders leading me to slow down.
I can then begin to imagine and understand the rhythms of growth and change. When life and love feel complicated and overwhelming, I'm here to help - offering you a safe space and a steady presence to reflect the process that is already underway in you.
